Tatum is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S) and founder of Kidlife. She is a member of the Association for Play Therapy. She has clinical experience with children, adolescents, and adults in private practice as well as in university, mental health settings, equine assisted programs, and an adult psychiatric setting. Tatum has had the privilege to have worked with, but not limited to, trauma, hospitalization for critical illness, anxieties, insomnia, adoption, survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and a wide variety of mental health concerns. Tatum has experience with facilitating a variety of groups including parenting groups. Tatum earned her Master of Education in Counseling at the University of North Texas where she studied at the largest play therapy training program in the world. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Texas A&M University. Her clinical specialties include play therapy, animal assisted therapy, and biofeedback. Tatum thrives on the outdoors enjoying running, hiking, and skiing especially. She has a passion for life and helping others to enjoy life and restore balance.
